So, we've got a new exquisite corpse going. Seems to be moving pretty fast. You can see it in order on my typelist on the right. If you're lazy, here's Mica's last installment "Soapy" If we follow the rules (not always, but.) then we take the last part of the last video and start the next from there. Shannon? Jay? Feel free.
This one's number 3. I wonder if we'll ever have someone submit one at the same time and we'll go off on two threads?

Diamonds From Space is a gloriously odd minifilm by Charlene. It's part of an exquisite corpse, but it stands alone as a strange and lovely little moment of its own.... [Read More]

i see wher we're going with this.
dont worry.

I hope it becomes a 'choose your own adventure' story
my favorite part is that you actually got in the tub with yer skates on. now, that's dedication! more to come....

I like it.

I don't understand it, but I like it.

I had to watch this again. I love it. Those skates! Those skates! I can't my eyes off of them!

REALLY liking this bit! As to what's going, I'm frightened to actually understand it...

Exquisite Corpse - I suppose corpus? The idea of a cultural artefact(s) created by many hands, much like an oral tradition? Incidentally, did you know that the magic words 'hocus pocus' were invented from the Latin hoc est corpus (here is/behold the body?)

Ok, so I'm a smart arse, but it has bought me time to think of a semi interesting question. As you progress (or, to be more exact, slide through) these films, the impression is of a chaotic (I think you were hoping for quantum, with your expressed hope for multiple threads)_experience of one person throwing down a video and someone spontaneously responding to it. Is this impression correct? Did you have to collaborate behind the scenes in any way? I noticed footage from earlier films starting to pop up in later clips.

over to ye...

While hanging around the empty graves...we...
Kidding! Nope. No chatter behind the scenes. Some of us would say we were going to add to it and grin, but nothing revealed until it was posted. As it should be. Plus, I don't necessarily know people who contriibuted until they contacted me.

What is great about this way of working is that the success is in the process. I did hope for a few abrupt things to happen to jolt me out of my natural pointed direction. And yes, more contributions to it would make it more interesting and potentially give it a more succinct world.

...or perhaps it would become even more chaotic.

Success is not only in the process, but in the patterns.

Oh, Mitch. We're in for a nice swim aren't we?!

NEXT!!

Yes, and the water's fine...

So, I'm assuming that you put up all the videos you recieved then... So, had you had more submissions, would you have operated on a more selective principle? Would there be a cut - and how would making or breaking the cut be determined?
